Green Door Las Vegas Review

The Green Door Las Vegas

An in-depth Review

We went to the Green Door in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2022.  While we love the Red Rooster we wondered if we were missing something else great by not visiting other places.  The Green Door is different, and great in its own unique way.

When we first started our sexual adventures we read reviews of the Green Door and decided it was not the place to go for our first visit.  But we did want to go eventually.  I am so glad we finally did!

The Green Door is for ages 18+, allows couples and singles to enter, and is alcohol free.  Smoking is allowed inside, there is no outdoors area.

Arrival

So many reviews say the Green Door is in a bad area or looks shady.  We drove by during the day to get a good look at the place and it looked fine.  It did not look like a bad area, just an older business district strip mall.  It wasn’t dirty and the area didn’t seem too bad.  When we showed up that night I will admit it looked a little shady.  The building is black and green with neon green lights.  To us, it did not look like an inviting place.  I’m glad we drove by during the day or we may have decided not to go in.  So lesson learned: do not judge a place based on outside appearance alone.

We had read online the Green Door doesn’t get busy until 11:00 p.m. or later, so we got there around 10:15 p.m. to have time to look around before it got busy.  There was a man outside of the entrance.  We didn’t talk to him, but he seemed to be security and doing visual age checks of people entering.  Inside the door is a dark short entryway.  There was a man standing at a little podium who welcomed us.  He asked if it was our first visit and if we were locals or from out of state.  When we said out of state and first visit he briefly went over the rules, pricing, and gave a general overview of the layout, then directed us to the cash cage on the right to pay for entry.  There are different prices for locals and non-locals.  We paid $69 on a Thursday night.  I’ll post the pricing at the bottom.  Jack paid and we each were given a wristband.  The wristband allows you to leave and to come back in for the night.  This is nice because there is no alcohol allowed at the Green Door, so to get a drink you can go to the bar next door and then return.  We just drank bottled water for the night, but the option is there.  The man in the cash cage went over the rules again when we paid.

First Impressions

The first thing about the Green Door is it is dark.  Most of the lights are black lights, so not very bright, but enough to see.  The bathrooms are well lit.  The locker areas are a bit brighter, but not all of them are as bright as the bathrooms, nor as dim as the rest of the place.  The dim lighting is likely meant to create a sexy atmosphere.  I’m not sure if it achieved that or not, but I definitely prefer the dim lights to a bright lit swingers club.  It was nice to sit in the open area upstairs with the dim lights though.  Very cozy and inviting.

Jack and I thought the Green Door was clean.  We constantly saw employees cleaning.  As people left play areas employees entered to clean the beds and straighten up.  Employees were picking up trash left behind too.  Honestly everyone, do not leave your trash laying around.  Trash cans are everywhere.  Even the smallest play area had at least one trash can.

Downstairs

Downstairs are pool tables, rest rooms, lockers, showers, a couples only area, a bar, and a room with an octagon hot tub (called the Sexagon).  The locker room we used has showers, but also has a bed in the corner, which we thought was odd.  There is no alcohol allowed in the Green Door at all.  The bar has water, juice, energy drinks, and a vending machine in the corner.  The vending machine had mouthwash and items like that in it.  I think there were condoms too, but I’m not certain.  The prices for drinks are club prices.  A bottle of water is $5 and other drinks are similarly priced.  Robes and towels are available for purchase too, along with t-shirts and more.  The hot tub has a timer on the wall, like hotel hot tubs.  The water was cold though, so we did not get in.  We asked an employee about the cold water and were told they were working on the heater and hoped it would be warm in a few hours, but it never warmed up before we left.

The downstairs couples only area has an attendant sitting at the door to make sure no singles go in.  I asked if couples were allowed to take a third into the couples area with them and was told no.  The couples only areas are for male/female couples only.  The downstairs couples area is a hallway with little rooms off it, like small office cubicles.  The first cubicle has a window so people outside the couples area can see in.  The doorways have bead curtains instead of doors, so everyone can see in from the hallway.  The beds are not really beds.  They look like leather covered mattresses, which I like, but they are not soft.  Because there are no sheets I am sure it is easier to keep the beds clean, so that is a plus.  There is at least one pillow on each bed and a box of tissues.  The room we were in had a small chair in the corner and a trash can in the other corner.

Jack said the bed was hard enough he left me on top because it would have hurt me.  It was just uncomfortable for him.  It was hard on my knees, so he was probably right.  Maybe other beds are softer though, we only tried the one.  I would prefer an actual door or something that offers more privacy than the bead curtains do.  Or maybe the option to have something like real curtains if people do not want just the beads.

A couple stood at the doorway when Jack and I were playing, which we do not mind at all.  What I did mind was the man was close enough I could feel his breath on my face.  After playing a bit Jack was behind me, sitting on the edge of the bed, and I stood between his knees facing the door.  The room is small enough I was only a couple inches from the beads.  The other couple was leaning against the wall watching through the beads, and I could feel the man’s breath on my face.  I did not like that at all.  I gave Jack a look over my shoulder, but it was so dark I wasn’t sure he saw.  He told me later he did clearly see, which is why he turned me around, putting my back to the couple.  He thought I objected to them watching, but I explained my objection was to the man breathing on my face.  So, I’m not a big fan of the couples only area downstairs, but it was definitely adequate for us to have some fun.

Upstairs

The stairs to the second level are just inside the entrance of the building.  Upstairs is a large seating area, another bar, another couples only area, orgy room, steam room, unisex bathroom, shadow room, dungeon, and another room with cubicles and bead doors.  Be careful when going down the stairs.  The last step is different from the rest and trips people up.  There are even signs up to watch that last step.  Yes, we learned the hard way to pay attention to the sign.

Orgy Room

I have to say the bar upstairs is much better than downstairs, and that is absolutely because of Lena (not sure if I spelled her name correctly).  She is the best.  Lena is friendly, welcoming every person/couple who comes upstairs.

She told us she would answer any questions we had, and she meant it.  I asked her a couple of questions and she answered honestly.  She is also quite funny.  She had us laughing and relaxing.  And after playing downstairs she let us know she had snacks for sale.  She had candy, snack cakes, and suckers along with drinks.  Lena also has ph balanced wipes for women who want them.  Other than the sex, Lena was the best part of the entire night.  From what I saw, she is the main person to answer the phone too.  She treated every person on the phone like they were an old friend, which was really great to see.

Central Upstairs Area

The upstairs central area with Lena’s bar is wide open and filled with comfortable seating.  There is a round bed in the center of the room with bead curtains hanging around it.  One section of seating has a small electric fireplace, but it doesn’t put out any heat, it’s just for looks.  Above the fireplace is a small television playing porn videos.  The seating is comfortable, cozy, and inviting.  We saw several couples having some fun in the seating area before moving to other rooms to continue.

The couples only area upstairs is at the top of the stairs.  There is a small room with a bed and then a second larger room.  The larger room has a big bed along one wall, a round bed in the center, and couches along another wall.  One of the walls is solid mirrors.  There are windows so people in the hallway can look in and watch the fun.  Jack and I sat on a couch and enjoyed watching what was going on in the room.  The seating was comfortable.  Throughout the night we saw several couples playing on the couches and beds in the couples room.

There is a long hallway upstairs that leads to the other rooms.  One of the rooms has a shower, steam room, and I think lockers.  We did not see anyone use the steam room.  One room is a unisex bathroom with urinals, a bidet, and toilets.  We didn’t see anyone using that room either.  It is a wide open room without a door and I doubt many people use it unless that is their kink.  The shadow room and orgy room are just dark rooms with big beds, windows for people to look in, and some seating for people to sit and watch.  The orgy room was empty all night.  We saw a couple sitting in the shadow room, but they were nearly at opposite sides of the room, so it did not look like any fun was going on in there.

The dungeon is all the way at the end of the hall.  At the end of the dungeon is a unisex bathroom with stalls and urinals.  Jack and I do not play in dungeons, so I have no idea what anything in there was, but it looked like there were several things to play on/with in there.  The dungeon has seating for people to sit and watch and the lights are little brighter.  There is also a smaller room off the dungeon with seating, a bed, and some dungeon equipment.  We watched the end of a flogging.  It was interesting to watch and I wish we’d gotten in there sooner to see more.  The couple looked like they really enjoyed what they were doing.

About halfway down the hall is a large room with more cubicles and bead curtains.  This area is not for couples only though.  If you want to play with a third this is the area to go to.  Those cubicles are brighter than the ones downstairs because the room is well lit.  The bead curtains do not keep much light out.

Pros & Cons

The layout of the building is odd.  It just doesn’t seem to flow well.  There are blocked off areas too that someone said were previously play areas.  Every room has windows for people to see inside while standing in the hallway.  No objections to that.  The hallways are narrow though, so if you’re trying to walk past someone it’s a bit tight.  The single men just wonder around room to room, area to area, looking in the windows.  We never saw a single man talk to anyone except the other single men and Lena.  Oh wait, one did speak to me.  He made a joke about sharing my snack cake.  But he didn’t try to continue talking to us or anything.  Which was a shame, because he was good looking and had a good opening with the joke.

What we did not see at all that night was any swapping or couples interacting with each other.  Several couples are regulars and have yearly memberships, so they greeted one another but no couples played together.  There was parallel play in the couples only area upstairs, but that was as close as it got.  It was a bit disappointing honestly.  Couples who arrived together played together and that was it.

It did not get very busy, but Lena said that was typical on a Thursday night.  Friday and Saturday are always busier, which I think is true for most swingers clubs.  Oh, the man at the podium at the entrance told us there were four couples inside when we arrived.  Later in the night I heard him tell someone there were fifteen couples inside, so it did get busier.  Never crowded, but not empty.

If you are interested in making a sex video the Green Door can help with that.  They have an option to have your sexual adventure filmed for everyone to see.  Videos people made are available for viewing on their website and play on the small tv in the upstairs seating area.

Final Thoughts

Overall, we did enjoy the Green Door.  We definitely intend to go back.  I’d like to return on a Friday or Saturday night to see how different it is on a busy night.  Jack says he wants to go back, but it’s not at the top of his list.  It’s more likely we’ll try Club 5150 or Whispers before a return trip to the Green Door, but we’ll see what happens.
