Red Rooster Las Vegas Updated Review

Red Rooster Las Vegas

An in-depth review

This is longer than I intended, but I wanted to provide details of Red Rooster for those who are thinking about going. The more I know about a new place, the less nervous I am, so I shared all the details.

Jack and I go to the Red Rooster as often as we can.  In 2022 the owner made several changes, so I thought I would update my review.  All updated information is in red.  Original review here.

Jack and I really like the Red Rooster! Unfortunately, online has some very negative reviews. When we were deciding where to go for the first time we ignored the negatives since every place we read reviews for had them, and settled on the Red Rooster. We are glad we went and continue to go every chance we get. The place is amazing and we always have a great time. The people range in age from 25 years old and up, so there’s plenty of fun for everyone.

The Red Rooster is clean, has great volunteer staff, an excellent lay out, and wonderful atmosphere. The owner can be a little abrupt at times, but she really is nice. After visiting so many times I understand why she can seem a little stern. From what I understand, when she took over some people tried to take advantage of her because she’s a woman and looks young. She does not, however, let people walk over her. And let’s be honest: anyone running a swinger’s club cannot be a push over. There are rules to ensure safety and fun for all, and she enforces the rules. She also has security and we’ve seen them handle a complaint about a guest. I’m actually grateful for how she runs the Red Rooster. She has also been making changes and updates. The changes are all good and I look forward to seeing what she continues to do.

What to Wear

This question is asked a lot, so I’ll start with it. Most of the women dress up and wear something sexy, but some wear jeans and a t-shirt. The men vary from shorts and a t-shirt to business casual. On theme nights some men wear suits, but it depends on the theme. Just wear whatever you are confident and comfortable in. Confidence can be sexier than the actual clothes. Besides, a lot of people end up wearing towels or robes as the night goes on or walking around wearing nothing at all.

Because I almost always end up running around in a towel, Jack bought two beautiful sheer robes for me. One in black, one in white. I’ve worn the white one once, and will probably stick to the black one from now on. The white glowed under the lights of the dance floor every time I walked through and in the voyeur/group room. Jack wore a black and white shirt one night and he glowed too. Keep that in mind when choosing what to wear if you aren’t comfortable with glowing like a spot light. I will say I received many compliments on both robes, but I did get comments about the white one glowing. It was just a bit much for me. Jack is looking at getting a robe for himself because he doesn’t like walking around in a towel and getting redressed after the hot tub or playing can become annoying. Lots of people wear robes and towels, so it is not uncommon at all.

Parking

There is plenty of parking in a well lit lot and a parking attendant. Since we drink, we prefer to take an Uber instead of driving.  The Red Rooster website also has a list of taxi drivers available.

Entry Area & Donation Fees

Looks are deceiving because the Red Rooster is bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. It’s over 12,000 sf. When you walk in the red front door there is a place to pay the entry fee on the right. Every time we go David is always sitting there. The usual entry donation for couples is $40, single men $60 $100, and single women $10. No one under 25 years of age is allowed to enter. David also keeps the towels available for rent for a couple of dollars. Across from David is the coat check area.

When I checked the website it had not been updated with the new price for single men ($100), but there are signs in the club stating the new price and saying it is due to inflation. We think $100 is a bit high. Hopefully the price doesn’t keep single men away. The price for couples on New Year’s Eve was $60, which is the standard price on an event night.

BYOB Bar and Dance Floor

Straight across from the front door and down a couple of steps is the bar. Red Rooster does not provide alcohol, so bring your own. They do provide cups, ice, soda, water, coffee, and juices. You can take your own cup if you want. I do. The volunteer at the bar will label your alcohol with your name. Don’t forget to pick up your alcohol at the end of the night. Beside the bar is an open area that used to have a pool table, but last time we were there the pool table was gone. Instead there are comfortable leather couches for additional seating. The pool table beside the bar is back and there is still a couch for additional seating. The couch is not leather, but fabric. It is comfy too.

Past the bar is the dance floor. At one end of the dance floor is a huge tv that plays music videos and the DJ booth. The DJ is always the same guy when we are there, but I’ve heard sometimes there is someone else. He will walk around and ask people if they would like to make a request. He keeps things lively and fun throughout the night.

I think the huge tv that played music videos is gone. Across from the DJ booth at the opposite end of the dance floor is a second bar to drop off your drinks.

Seating

Past the dance floor is a large area with lots of seating. Recently a few tables and chairs were replaced with leather couches. The couches are very comfortable and make it easier to interact with other people. Two couches face each other with a large matching leather foot rest between them. There are side tables for drinks. At the other end of the room a couple of small tables were replaced with the same comfortable leather seating. Instead of the couches facing each other they are placed side by side. I love these changes and hope the owner continues to make improvements like this. It’s a cozy inviting atmosphere. The couches facing each other in the main seating area are still there, but no longer leather. I think there is a coffee table between the couches now instead of the leather foot rest, but it’s hard to remember little things like that. Either way, it’s a great seating area.

Indoor Pool and Hot Tub

There is a door in the seating area that leads to the indoor pool and hot tub. Both are good size. There is a beautiful rock waterfall in the pool.

All around the room are tables, chairs, benches, and hooks to hang towels or clothes. There is also a sex chair we’ve seen used more than once, but have not played on ourselves.

The rock waterfall was replaced with something more modern. It is like a wide short wall with a flat top now. It looks very nice, nicer than the rock waterfall. The sex chair has been removed from the pool area and is now in one of the private rooms down the hallway off the locker room. Some of the tables and chairs have been replaced with round canopy beds. The beds look really comfortable, but they were occupied, so we didn’t get to try one. Sex in the water is not encouraged, so people move to the one of beds to continue fun that started in the water.

We love the hot tub! I’ve seen as many as ten people in it with plenty of room for more. Being nude is not a requirement to get in the water, although most people opt for no clothing. Several times I’ve seen women wearing a swim suit or part of one. It really is just whatever you are comfortable with.

There are usually people sitting at the tables chatting and watching what’s going on. Get as naked as you’re comfortable with and enjoy the water or sit and watch the action. We’ve seen everything from people just talking to oral sex to full intercourse in and around the water.  Sometimes all at the same time.

There is a door at each end of the room. One door leads to the locker room, the other goes inside near the voyeur/group room.

Voyeur/Group Room

At one end of the seating room is a large open doorway into the voyeur/group room. It is a good sized room, dimly lit, with five beds and two couches. I prefer the top middle bed.

The beds are built into boxes instead of being on bed frames or on the floor. All the beds are stair stepped so none are level with another. Next to the highest bed in the corner is a second bed, the middle one on the top level, then a third bed beside it, set down another level. Across from all the beds are two couches. The couches in the voyeur/group room look like the leather couches that were in the main seating area. A small table with a lamp is between the couches. The lighting isn’t red anymore, but looks kind of purple now and is dim.  The new lighting is more relaxing than the red lights.

We’ve had some fun in this room! Couples have sex while others watch or join. Orgies and gang bangs happen. Oral sex is common. Anything goes in here as long as everyone involved consents.

*Please remember not to take drinks or food in to the voyeur/group room. Several times we’ve seen drinks knocked over on the floor, which of course made a mess the volunteer staff had to clean up.

Locker Room

Lockers are free to use. We take our own lock, but locks are available for rent. This may seem like a boring room, but it’s not always. On our first visit we walked by the locker room and a naked man was sitting on a stool jerking off. It surprised me a little at first, but I looked him in the eye and smiled. He smiled back. On another visit there was a woman leaning against the wall being fingered. There is no shame at Red Rooster. As long as you’re comfortable, do what you enjoy.

The locker room also leads back inside to the main area where there is a pool table (which can be a great ice breaker), a kitchen, another bar, and the door going outside to the covered back porch with heaters and lots of seating.

Private Bedrooms

There are several private bedrooms available to everyone. In the locker room there is a door leading into one of the bedrooms. Off the locker room is a hallway with two more rooms, a bathroom, and large walk-in shower with two shower heads. One of the rooms has a massage table and oil instead of a bed. We haven’t been in every room, but from what we have seen they are all the same with a bed and side table. Simple rooms, but adequate. The sex chair from the indoor pool area has replaced the massage table. I really wish we could have tried out the massage table because I do love a good sensual massage! It is possible the massage table is in another room and we did not see it since some rooms were occupied.

The private bedrooms previously had bright lights, but the owner has put in better lights.  The lighting looks kind of purple now.  Jack says he thinks the bulbs are red and blue.  Whatever it is, the lighting is much better for setting a mood of sexy fun.  Harsh lighting isn’t really a good choice for a swinger club, so dim colored lighting was a great improvement.

I’ve never been in a room with dirty sheets or dirty floors. The volunteer staff is great at keeping things clean.  The entire place also gets regular cleaning.

There is another hallway off one end of the dance floor. I was told there are more bedrooms and a bathroom in that hallway, but we haven’t explored there yet. Every time we go down that hall all the rooms are occupied, but the bathroom is nice. There was a man doing additional security in this hall. He keeps people from entering occupied rooms with unlocked doors, makes sure people are in line for the bathroom and not a private room, and also roams around the first floor a bit. I do not know his name, but he is super friendly and fun.

Upstairs

Upstairs is couples only. There is an open area with couches and a large tv, almost always showing porn videos. The couches are comfortable and a great place to relax with other couples. Across from the seating area are dressers and cubbies and a swinging door. A volunteer is almost always sitting beside the swinging door.

In the area with dressers and cubbies some really comfortable couches have been added. The dim lights create a sexy atmosphere too. On our last few visits we saw people engaging in various sex acts on the couches. Some started playing on the couches before moving into the nude area with beds, while other people finished things on the couches and then hung out or went back downstairs.

Our first visit we didn’t know what the upstairs was except the obvious seating, so I went and asked the man sitting at the door. He explained there are two bedrooms with multiple beds and a bathroom. To enter you have to be a couple and naked or in a towel or robe. The dressers and cubbies are to put your clothes and things in before going through the door. We prefer to use the lockers downstairs. The volunteer changes sheets on the beds, makes sure only couples enter, makes sure everyone is okay in the rooms. We did use the dresser for Jack’s clothes on our last visit (I was already in my robe). Just strip down, put everything in a drawer, go through the swinging door, and find a bed. The lighting in the bedrooms has been changed to the same lights as in the private rooms, so it is a much sexier atmosphere. There are also stacks of “towels” all over the room. They look like puppy pads. Every one was really good about putting one down on the bed before playing to try to keep things a little cleaner for those moving on to the beds afterwards.

In the bedrooms it is not uncommon for others to ask to join you. This is a swinger’s club after all, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise when it happens. It is acceptable to say no thank you if you’re not interested or to accept the offer. Or ask a couple you like the look of if you can join.

Outdoor Area

While updating this review I realized I didn’t say much about the outdoor area. The outdoor area is popular, even in cold rainy weather. Most of the area is covered, so it can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. There are two large heaters that keep the cold at bay. There is a picnic table, several tables and chairs, and couches. We really like the big comfy couches. They are the kind you just sort of sink into and relax. Because Jack and I vape we go outside throughout the night. We noticed that even non smokers are outside hanging out. It’s a nice place to just chat with people.

Rules

Red Rooster is a fun place, but there are still rules.  I have paraphrased the rules listed on the website.  Have fun! Socialize, meet people, make friends, and enjoy. Always remember no means no. Consent is a must. Do not touch others without permission. There are no cell phones or cameras allowed. If you need to use your cell phone go to the entry area. The bars are BYOB. Bring your alcohol of choice and check it in at the bar. Smoking is allowed only outside. Upstairs is couples only and only open Friday and Saturday nights. The website defines a couple as a man and woman who came to the party together. No drugs allowed. No prostitution. In the voyeur/group room if you are not playing, stay off the beds (round bed in the center is okay to sit on no one is playing on it). Closed doors mean no entry. Not everyone locks the door, so just do not open a closed door. The exception are the doors to the indoor pool, which are kept closed. And finally, you must be 25 years old or older to attend. Yes, they do verify age if necessary.

Hours

Closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Wednesdays are Wyld Wednesday, an open mic talent night. Hours are 9 pm to 2 am. We haven’t been on a Wednesday, but heard from several people it is a lot of fun. Thursdays are Karaoke night. It used to be naked karaoke, and I’m not sure if that part has changed. Hours are 9 pm to 2 am. Friday and Saturday are the busiest nights and a lot of fun. Hours are 9 pm to 3 am. They do ask that you try to start wrapping things up around 2:30 so everyone is out on time.

Finally

So, there you have it, details about the Red Rooster Las Vegas, the oldest swingers club in the state. We absolutely love going and wish we could attend more often. If I missed anything or you have a question, let me know. If you are thinking about going, go! I do not think you will regret it.

Thanks for the info. My wife and I are going on Wednesday May 1. We have never been to a club like this but we are eager to have sex while we are there. Hopefully we will meet cool people like yourselves.
